THURSDAY/FRIDAY

Arrive to Chattanooga!
Check-in to your swanky hotel. Floating docks are at Ross’s Landing so go for a paddle!


FRIDAY

Board/boat storage will open at Basecamp from 12-7 PM.

You can not take your board out of storage after you check it in. No exceptions.

Pre-Race Check-In
Check-In will be available at Basecamp from 3-7 PM

(Ross’s Landing, 201 Riverfront Parkway)

Look for white tents in grassy lot.
Big parking lot located across the street.

Go through the check-in line. (YOU WILL NEED PHOTO ID)

- Check in lines will be organized by Last Name for all solo divisions. Please look for the signs above the tent door. A-E, F-J, K-O, P-T, U-Z. There will also be a line for OTHER TEAMS, (this includes everyone paddling in: tandem kayak, tandem surfski, OC-2, tandem SUP, C-2, SUP-4) and a separate line for OC-6 TEAMS. All team members must check in. Bib # will be given to one member of each team. 

- Please take the t-shirt/tank size you ordered in registration. If you want to swap, you can do so at the Awards Ceremony after the race.

Drop off your board/ski/kayak/canoe at board storage. NO extra gear, just paddling vessel.

7 PM, Basecamp is Closed.

If you are planning to drop your car off at Hale's Bar Marina on Friday afternoon, organizing your own shuttles etc., please park as efficiently as possible. Space is limited. Park at an angle that makes sense for the location and in a way that others can follow suit. Don't leave a big gap between your car and the next. Thank you.

SATURDAY

Late check-in will open at 5:30AM, if you could not make it here on Friday afternoon.

Car drop off/shuttle: If you need your car at the finish line consider setting your shuttle early Saturday morning. Drop off your car at Hale’s Bar Marina by 6:15AM (Eastern Standard Time). Hale’s Bar Marina Address: 1265 Hales Bar Rd., Guild, Tennessee, 37340. There will be 4 buses shuttling back to the start line at Ross’s Landing. They will depart Hale’s Bar Marina promptly at 6:30AM EST. Don’t forget your paddles, bib, nutrition, hydration systems, GPS, garments, leash, strobes, etc. Bring them on the bus as only your board, ski, or kayak will have been stored in board storage the night before.

Please park cars as efficiently as possible at Hales Bar Marina on Saturday morning. Space is limited. CAR POOLING IS STRONGLY ENCOURAGED.

 

IMPORTANT: DO NOT forget your life jacket or bib (it has your timing chip).

7 AM Buses arrive at Ross’s Landing
Begin staging/standing near your gear.

7:30 AM Safety Meeting  & National Anthem - this is mandatory for all racers to attend.

**There will be a "Last Chance" Drop Box before you get on the water, for any warm clothes you couldn't part with before then. MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS ON YOUR STUFF. We will provide sharpies but having your clothes labelled before-hand would speed up the process. Or bring a small bag to put your stuff in and put your name on the bag. The Drop Box will be taken to the finish line, so you can collect your clothes directly after the race. Look for the big U-Haul truck! Anything still left will then be taken back to the Basecamp tent during the after party. Anything left after Saturday night will be donated to Goodwill. Please do not forget to pick up your stuff!! Do not leave anything valuable. **

8:30 AM Race Start - Heat #1: Heat 1 (All SUPS Unlimited, 14’, 12’6”, tandem SUPs, all Prone divisions, All Kayaks (anything 20” wide or more), Tandem Kayaks, C-1, C-2, and C-4 (Please note this is NOT Outrigger Canoes) - Enter water and paddle upstream (to the right) Details of staging for the start can be found here.

ALL racers MUST enter the water by way of the 2 long docks. Please DO NOT enter along the concrete edge.

9:00AM - Heat #2: (Surf Skis, Tandem Surfskis, OC-1s, OC-2s, OC-3s, OC-6s)

Please do not enter the water until Heat 1 has passed Ross’s Landing to avoid collisions.

SATURDAY EVENING - Awards Ceremony  & After-Party

Awards Ceremony doors open at 6pm, ceremony will begin at 7pm.
- Raffle winners announced.
- Live music, beer, soda and water will be provided. We will have two tasty food trucks parked nearby also!

**Do not forget your beer bracelet.** (they will be in your racer packet)
